Bobby W. Maus

Reidsville- Mr. Bobby W. Maus, 78, of Reidsville passed away on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital. Mr. Maus was born on July 13th, 1936 in Rockingham County to the late Alexander L. and Ola Somers Maus. He was retired from the Greensboro Daily News and Annie Penn Hospital. He had a great love for nature and a knowledge of wildflowers and birds. He was a very talented wood craftsman, creating beautiful furniture. Bobby enjoyed classical music and opera. Some of his greatest joys were spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with Donna. Survivors include his wife, Donna Thompson Maus of the home; sons: Kyle Maus of Chicago, IL; Marc Maus and wife, Trudy of Wilmington, NC; stepsons: Randall Robinson, Jr. of Raleigh and Ben Robinson and wife, Crystal of Reidsville; grandchildren: Kaylah, Alex and Serenity Robinson; Maggie and Carly Maus; brothers: Buddy Maus and wife, Simon of Greenwood, SC; Jimmy Maus and wife, Verla of Advance; many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 at eleven o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
