Bonnie Barber East

Reidsville - Bonnie Barber East, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Morehead Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Mayfield Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Dyer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. East was born in Draper, NC and was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Barber and wife of the late, Dewey F. East, Sr. She was employed with Woolworth and was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Dewey F. East, Jr., Donnie East and Clarence East; and her brothers, Curtis, Johnny and Jerry Barber.Survivors include her sons, Curtis East, Eddie East and Jake East; her daughter, Janet East Myers; her sisters, Hazel Cole and Fay Woods; her brothers, Alan Barber and Ronnie Barber; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildThe family will receive friends Friday, April 27 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
