Reidsville –Bonnie Walker Madren, 82, of 324 Lake Le-Mar Road., died Tuesday, January 29,
2008, at Highgrove
Longterm Care
Center.
Funeral
services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Wilkerson Funeral
Home. The burial will follow in Reidlawn
Cemetery.
Mrs.
Madren was born in Rockingham
County to the late William
and Ada Apple Walker. She was a member of Reidsville Christian Church. She was
retired from Reidsville City Schools where she worked as a teacher’s aide with
special education classes. She was passionate about caring for others with
special needs, especially children and senior adults. She cared for her parents
in their latter days. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in
death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Mrs.
Madren is survived by her husband, Albert Madren of the home; her sons, Blair
Madren of Reidsville, Robin Madren and wife, Khristie of Anchorage, AK and
Leland Madren and wife, Reiko of Tokyo, Japan; her grandchildren, Anna Pattison
and husband, Joe, Whitney Madren, Kirby Madren, Zackorey Madren, Kendra Dyson
and husband, Chet, Karley Madren, Mimi Madren and Lana Madren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
The
family will receive friends Saturday, February 2 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from
6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
The
family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Highgrove Longterm Care
Center for their loving
and attentive care.
