Brenda Ashby Hand

Brenda Ashby Hand, 57, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Wesley Long Community Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Amanda Hand.  

Brenda was born in Guilford County, NC to the late James Ashby and Maggaline Guynn Ashby.  She graduated from Southeast High School in Greensboro and worked with Allied Security as a security officer, until February of this year.

She is survived by her son, Brendan Calahan; daughter, Amanda Hand; granddaughter, Kaylee Hand; brother, Charlie Ashby and wife, Shirlene; sister, Angel Brown.
