Brenda Kay Meeks Watlington

Brenda Kay Meeks Watlington, 72 of Reidsville passed away at her home on January 27, 2024.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Garden with Rev. Phillip Surrett officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Brenda was born in Rockingham County to the late Phalis Meeks and Ruth Chrismon. She worked 28 years for Creighton.  Brenda was an animal lover, especially her cats. She enjoyed dancing, Elvis Presley, flowers, and Gardening. Most of all she loved her family.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Harry Watlington and her brother, Billy Ray Meeks.

Brenda is survived by her children, Billy Watlington (Pam), Misty Williams (Andy); grandchildren, Caitey Watlington, Matt Watlington (Amanda), Jimmy Yoho (Bridgette), Ben Watlington (Carolea), great grandchildren, Paisley Watlington and Sophie Yoho; siblings, Shirley Divers and Bobby Meeks (Wanda); niece, Tabitha Eggleston, nephews, Josh Meeks, Monroe Meeks; feline companion, Taz along with numerous other nieces, nephews and a large extended group of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter at 250 Cherokee Camp Rd, NC 27320.
