Brenda Dickerson Porterfield

Reidsville: Brenda Dickerson Porterfield, 50, of 1102 Crescent Drive, Apt. E, died on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 15th at Wilkerson Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the residence. Brenda was born in Durham, NC and was formerly employed with Duke Hospital.   She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Gibson Dickerson; brother, Charles Dickerson and sister, Jo Carolyn Blackburn. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Michael Porterfield; son, Marcus Edwards, III and wife, Cindy; daughter, Melissa Edwards, all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Payten Edwards, Christopher Kiehl, Haley Barber, Madison and Blake Porterfield; mother, Lucille Mangum; niece, Cathy Jo Blackburn.
