Brenda Payne Snead

Brenda Payne Snead, 75, of 245 Kingwood Road, went home to be with The Lord, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Junior Kennon officiating. There will be no formal visitation, but Brenda will be available for viewing at Wilkerson Funeral Home starting Tuesday morning until funeral time on Thursday.

Brenda was born in Rockingham County to the late Mary Sue Murrell. She worked for Miller Brewing and later with RF Micro for several years. She loved her granddaughter and was especially delighted with her great grandson Dominic. She was gifted with ceramics, enjoyed watching and feeding birds. Brenda loved baking and cooking for her family, neighbors, and friends. Along with her mother she was also preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Murrell; and sister-in-law Kay Dove.

Brenda is survived by her husband Jackie; son Jackie Dwayne Snead and wife Sharon; granddaughter Brooke Roberts; great grandson Dominic Michael Roberts; sisters-in-law Jane Evans, Gayle Garner and husband Phil, and Peggy Booth and husband Curtis; and brother-in-law Mike Dove.
