Brian James Summey

Reidsville: Brian James Summey, 57, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, July 1, 2016, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Mr. Summey was born in Valdosta, Georgia on April 18, 1959 to the late Spencer and Kathleen Woodall Summey. Brian was a very outgoing person. He is known as a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed greatly being with his family. Brian used to hold his wife, Lisa's hand while working with her. His hobbies included playing and watching all kinds of sports. Mr. Summey never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in a time of need. Survivors include his wife: Lisa Summey of the home; daughters: Katie Brianna Summey of Gransonville, MD, Laura Woodall Summey of Greensboro and step-daughter Danielle Kristen Mentel of Reidsville; grandson, Trenton Cash; sister, Terry Summey of High Point; and brother, Timothy Summey of Grasonville, MD.
