Briana Tindal

Briana Tindal-Barrier – 41, of Kernersville and formerly of Reidsville, NC died suddenly on Monday, September 24, 2012, in an automobile accident. A memorial service was held at Woodmont United Methodist Church on September 28, 2012 with Rev. Morris Brown and Dr. C.M. Worthy officiating. Briana was born in Wilmington, NC and was the daughter of Robert M. Tindal and Jan B.Tindal. She graduated from Rockingham County High School in absentia in 1989. She received a US Congress-Bundestag (German Congress) scholarship for foreign studies and spent her senior year of high school in Germany. Briana graduated from NC State University, cum laude, with degrees in Textile Management and German. While at NC State, Briana received an academic Work-Study scholarship, which paid for her to return to Germany to work for a summer while attending NC State. After working several years in the field of textiles, she found her true love of serving others in the healthcare field. She was especially fond of the elderly, babies and particularly physically or mentally challenged children. She once organized, with the help of her brother Austin and stepfather, Jerry, a motorcycle rally at an assisted living home. The residents were thrilled! At the time of her death, Briana was of the Lutheran faith. She was confirmed at Woodmont and remained a member there until sometime after 1995. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Tindal, maternal grandparents, Austin J Baker Sr., of Pender Co. and Johnnie D. Baker of Wrightsville Beach and a skilled nursing facility in High Point; paternal grandparents, E. B. Tindal, Jr. and Florie O.Tindal of;Apex, uncle, Austin J. Baker, Jr. of Reidsville, and cousin Aric J. Baker of Burgaw. In addition to her mother and step-father, Jerry Bradmon, Briana is survived by her children, Alexander Bowman Barrier and Elijah David Barrier; brother, Austin B. Tindal of Winston Salem; half-brother Robert M. Tindal, Jr. of Fuquay Varina, half-sisters Melanie Tindal, Michelle Tindal; step-sisters, Steffany B. McWaters and husband, John of Jacksonville, NC and Jenny B. Doyle and husband, Anthony of Chicago, paternal aunt, Loretta T. Hollowell of Cary; paternal uncle, Eddie B. Tindal and wife, Faye of Cary, cousins, Susan Hill of Cary, Woody Hill, E. B. (Chip)Tindal of Clayton, Jason Tindal, Stephanie Baker, DVM, of Burgaw, Pammela S. Baker-Word, FNP-C of Burgaw, a large extended family, and a host of friends.
