Brittford Leigh Gibson

Greensboro - Brittford "Britt" Leigh Gibson, 56, of 1118 Summit Avenue, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Walt Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Britt was born in Rockingham County to Pauline McCollum Gibson and the late Robert W. Gibson. He had worked with the family business, was a musician, and a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his special friend, Elizabeth Rucker.He is survived by his mother, Pauline McCollum Gibson; sisters, Kathleen Hawkins and husband, Mike, Cindy Miller and husband, Jim; niece, Crystal Renee Ball; nephew, Robert Lee Marsh, II; great niece, Sydnee Marsh; great nephew, Ayden Ball.Memorial may be made to Baptist Temple Church, 729 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.
