Reidsville- Mr. Bryant “Poo” Odell Paschal, 91, of 272 Faucette Rd., passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church with Elder William Knight officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bryant Paschal was born on October 7, 1922, in Rockingham County to the late Eddie D. and Mattie Tate Paschal. He married Annie Lee Williams on November 11, 1939 in Danville. He was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. He was a farmer all of his life and later in the 1990’s he worked for Harris-Teeter. He loved farming and gardening and also his many friends from church. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Along with his parents, Mr. Paschal was preceded in death by his brothers, Allie, Elwood, Stover and Clyde Paschal, his sister, Jettie Sutton and his son-in-law, Donald W. Soyars.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Lee Paschal; daughter, Eunice Paschal Soyars; grandchildren, Randy W. Soyars and wife Carla and Karen S. Garretson and husband Denzil; great granddaughter, Kayla N. Soyars and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 6-8 PM at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
