Caren Garvey Reed

Caren Mary Garvey Reed, 69, of 2216 Gibbs Road, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00PM at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Peter Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3PM at the church. Caren was born in Victor, NY to the late Jacob and Gladys Busch Garvey. She was a retired bank teller with Canandaigua National Bank and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Eden. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Reed; brother-in-law, Robert Gunkler; sister-in-law, Lori Reed. Survivors include her daughter, Becky Reed Smaldone and husband, Ed of Reidsville; her son, Scott Reed and wife, Kerry of Hopkinton, MA; grandchildren, Tayton Smaldone, Isabella Smaldone, Lucas Reed and Grayson Reed; twin brother, Conrad Garvey and wife, Judy, Kevin Garvey and wife, Jody; sisters, Janet Garvey Barager and husband, Wes, Star Rossmann and husband, Dave and MaryAnn DeCarlo and husband, Vince; brother-in-law, Dale Reed; sisters-in-law, Carol Reed, Joice Biek and husband, Jim and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At a later date, a service will be held for family and friends in Victor, New York.
