Carol Stach Jeffers

Reidsville –Carol Stach Jeffers, 84, of 3881 Iron Works Road, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Sharon Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Robert Nolley officiating. Mrs. Jeffers was born in Henry County, IL and was the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel Talbot Stach. Carol was a 1946 graduate of Cambridge High school. She was a homemaker that loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sitting in her sunroom watching the deer and bluebirds. Carol was an avid Carolina fan and was Bethany’s biggest cheerleader. She was a huge pet lover and had fond memories of her pets throughout the years. Along with her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Carl Jeffers. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gerald “Jeff” Jeffers of the home; son, Richard Jeffers (Donna) of McLeansville; daughter, Sharon Loftis (Dennis) of Reidsville; grandchildren, Amber Register (Mike), Ashley Vogrinc (Dave), Major Christian Loftis (Phaedra), Heather Wallace (Matthew); nine great-grandchildren and sister, Gloria Ayola of Villa Park, IL. There will not be a formal visitation but the family will receive family and friends at the home of daughter, Sharon 3813 Iron Works Road.
