Reidsville – Carolyn Ann Childrey Smith, 68, of 1202 Gunn Street Apt.16B, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at her home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2009, at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Bob Templeton officiating.Carolyn was born in Rockingham County, to the late Ernest Allen and Vernie Watkins Childrey and attended Osborne Baptist Church.Survivors include her children, Laurie Fain Chilton of Reidsville, James Michael Fain of High Point and Steve Fain and wife, Shannon of Stoneville; grandchildren, Amber Franklin, Adam Fain, Tyler Chilton, Morgan Fain, Courtney Fain, Jamie Fain, Justin Fain, Cody Fain and Andrew Fain; great grandchild, Princeton Janney; brother, Jerry Childrey of Greensboro; special friend, Margaret Moody.The family will see friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7-9 PM and other times at Laurie’s home, 331 Wilson Road.
