Reidsville - Carolyn Joyce Rickman, 64, of 271 Pennington Road, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 27th, 2012 at Christian Fellowship Assembly of God with Rev. Bill McKinney officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Carolyn was born in Rockingham County, NC. She was employed with the Rockingham County School System where she was a bus driver for over 12 years. She was formerly employed with New Image Screen Printing and Cone Mills. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Carolyn loved the beach, fishing and motorcycles and was affectionately called, Harley Grandma. She was preceded in death by her father, General Lee Joyce; her grandson, Jimmy Lee Hodges; and her brother, Curtis Lee Joyce. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Rickman of the home; her children, Diane Brown and husband, David, Keith Hodges and wife, Jennifer of Reidsville, Harold Holt and wife, Jennifer of Mayodan and Stephen Holt of Reidsville; grandchildren, Travis Brown, Richard, Makenzy and David Hodges, Natalie Holt, Johnathan, Dylan, Brandon and Bradley Holt; mother, Lucille Woods Joyce; sisters, Patricia Williams and husband, Frank and Linda Jackson and special friend, Mike Kennon; step children, Cindy Manley and husband, John, Annette Rickman and special friend, Robert Webb, Todd Rickman and wife, Dawn and Cory Rickman and wife, April all of Reidsville; step grandchildren, Kelly Montgomery and husband, Cecil, Michelle Anders, Mackenzie, Maddie, Nathan and Grayson Rickman; step great granddaughter, Lauren Montgomery and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and at other times the family will be at her home.
