Carrie Medlin Auman

Reidsville –Carrie Medlin Auman, 99, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at Avante Nursing Home of Reidsville. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at First Baptist Church, 409 South Main Street, Reidsville with Dr. Bill Duke and Rev. David Huggins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Mrs. Auman was born to the late Robert Lee and Carrie Dunn Medlin on July 5, 1911. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church were she was active in the adult choir and the WMU. Carrie was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and the Federated Woman’s Club of Reidsville. Among all of her community service she was also active in the Extension Club and Green Thumb Garden Club. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Auman; sister, Muriel Medlin and brother, Alton Medlin. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Carter and husband, Bob of Reidsville, and Sally Pinnix and husband, John of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tom Carter of Greensboro, Jennifer Haigwood of Morrisville, and Will Haigwood and wife, Kathryn of Fayetteville; great-grandchild, Carmen Haigwood. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of daughter, Diana Carter, 1141 Irvin Farm Rd, Reidsville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carrie’s honor to First Baptist Church, 409 South Main Street, Reidsville, NC 27320
