Eden - Carroll Baynes Richardson, 65, of 230 E. Harris Place Apt 125 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 15, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Harmon, Rev. Ralph Clayton and Rev. David Surrett officiating. Interment will follow at a later time.Mrs. Richardson was born on September 15, 1945 to the late Arthur Rainey Baynes, Sr. and Gladys Louise Wainwright Baynes. Born in Greenville, NC, she was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers. Carroll loved to collect dolls and pictures and enjoyed sewing in her past time. She loved her family deeply but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Saint Edward Richardson; brothers David Henry Baynes and Arthur Rainey Baynes, Jr.Carroll is survived by her sons, Henry Richardson and wife, Dawn of Reidsville, Joe Richardson and wife, Velna of Eden, and Gary Richardson of McLeansville; daughter, Jessica Benfield and husband, Tim of Reidsville; grandchildren, Saint J., Silver, and Joshua Kaleb Benfield; brothers, Dewey Baynes of Reidsville, Alfred Baynes and wife Linda of Commerce City, CO; sister, Mary Carter of Lanexa, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Myrtle Boone, 1839 Barnes Street, Reidsville and the home of Barbara Cox, 121 Bradford Street, Eden. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
