Carson Franklin Dawson

Carson Franklin Dawson, 77, of Reidsville passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Chaney officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. 

Carson was born in Rockingham County to the late Bessie & Dewey Dawson. He retired from American Tobacco Company and loved to garden, fish, travel to the mountains and the beach, spend time with the grandbabies and with his beloved dog “Rosie” Rosebud.

In addition to his parents, Carson was preceded in death by his sister Juanita Huffman.

Carson is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Dawson; brother Raven Dawson and wife Barbara; twin sister Caroleda Isley & husband Tony; daughters Karen Chilton and husband Joe, Barbara Wright and husband Luey and Jennifer Bryan and husband Ben; grandchildren Macey Durham Hundley and husband William, C.J. Swanson, Michael Dawson, Kaleb Durham, Matthew Swanson, Emily Hodges, Abigail Skelton and Ben Bryan; great-grandchildren Michael Hundley, Blane Hundley, Barrett Hundley and Kyser Swanson; special friends Larry Jackson, Donnie Coleman, Charlie Loftis and Tommy McKinney.
