Ruffin: Cathy J. Manley, 70, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017. A funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 2:00 P.M., at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Cathy was born on February 12, 1947, in Rockingham County, to the late Austin Hardy Murray and Zelma Crouch Murray. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence “Red” Manley, and a daughter, Teresa Clarke. Survivors include her sons, Ted Lemons and Thomas Lemons; her daughter, Tracy Porter; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; her sister, Shirley Kallam, and various nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1500 Pinecroft Rd. #109, Greensboro, NC 27407.
