Charlene Allen Kelly

Reidsville –Charlene Allen Kelly, 87, of 1171 Moir Mill Road, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Brian Center of Eden. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Ministers, Bob Johnson and Gary Wackler officiating. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Kelly was a native of Rockingham County and the daughter of the late, Joe and Frances French Allen. She was born on December 17, 1927 was married to Willie Kelly July 4, 1947. She was a homemaker and a longtime and faithful member of Draper Christian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Extension Homemakers Club for many years and worked many years assisting blind residents in Rockingham County. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Patrick Allen Kelly; her brothers, William Penn Allen and Harry Lee Allen; and her baby sister, Audrey. Mrs Kelly is survived by her husband, Willie Preston Kelly of the home; her brother, Joe Henry Allen and wife, Dorothy of Lynchburg, VA; sisters-in-law, Geneva R. Allen and Myra H. Allen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Draper Christian Church, 1116 Fieldcrest Road, Eden, NC 27288.
