Charles Danny "DO" Oakley

Reidsville: Charles Danny “D.O.” Oakley, 61, of 2203 Belmont Drive, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2PM. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ralph Corum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. The burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. Danny was born in Rockingham County to the late Aaron and Elizabeth Turner Oakley. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved dancing, beach music and a good party. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Helen Haizlip and his very special aunt, Orena Oakley. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anne Carter Oakley of the home; children, David K Jones and Beth Jones Hodges and husband, Kurt all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Austin and Claire Jones; brother, David Oakley; sister, Annie Ruth Tatum both of Reidsville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
