Charles Thomas Evans

Reidsville: Charles Thomas Evans, 62, of Flat Rock Road, died on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Mr. Evans was born in Rockingham County to Geraldine Frick Evans and the late Thomas C. Evans. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired from The American Tobacco Company. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lee Evans and nephew, Bobby Evans, Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy E. Stadler and husband, Vince, Cheryl Van Hoy and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Seth Van Hoy and Makayla Stadler; mother, Geraldine Evans; brother, Bobby Evans, Sr. and wife, Carol; sisters, Marie Law and husband, Willie, and Charlene Hawks; nephews, Tommy and Gary Law, Billy and Bryan Evans. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, December 29th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence of Cathy and Vince Stadler, 215 Lindsey Road, Reidsville.
