Charles Houston Long, Sr.

Charles Houston Long, Sr. passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 22.2024, at Ancora Compassionate Care facility.  

Charles was born January 14,1952 in Caswell County, NC to the late Robert Long and Clara Bell Wilson Long. He was the youngest of three children, two preceded in his death (Roger and Ann).  He was educated at Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville, NC.

He worked in the construction business as a plumber and later as a restaurant manager.  Charles had a passion for hunting and fishing as well as watching Nascar and wrestling.  He loved to chat and hang out with friends and family; he always had a welcoming smile on his face and was a loving and caring person.

He is preceded in death by his son Scottie Long and his wife Karen Finch Long.  He is survived by his son Charles Long, Jr., as well as three stepchildren, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
