Reidsville – Charles Wilford Patterson, 50, of 598 NC 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wendell Edwards, Rev. Fred Carter and Rev. Junior Kennon officiating. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Charles was born in Tennessee. He was retired from the City of Reidsville with over 17 years of service. He often acknowledged his deep faith and some years ago, he attended Tabernacle Baptist Church and was currently attending Grace Covenant Holiness Church. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. Throughout his journey of failing health, he lived with a courageous spirit and was a true fighter to the very end. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Gilbert Patterson and Jessie Walker; and brother, Ricky Patterson. Charles is survived by his wife, Sheri Mann Patterson of the home; sons, Charles Michael Patterson and wife, Wanda of Reidsville and Jordan Patterson of the home; grandchildren, Nathaniel Patterson, Bryson Patterson and Jacob Morton; mother, Ruby McMillion and husband, Berl of Reidsville; brothers, Glenn Patterson and Bobby Walker and wife, Sherry all of Reidsville; sisters, Shirley Brammer of Snow Camp, NC, Dorothy Davis, Sandra Barber and Pamela Walker-Michaux all of Reidsville; mother-in-law, Betty Moore and husband, Glenn of Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the home.
