Charles Raymond Perdue

Reidsville –Charles Raymond Perdue, 91, of 3131 US 158 East, died on Monday, August 25, 2009, at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held Friday, August 28, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Daves and Rev. John Groff officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with military rites.Mr. Perdue was born in Rockingham County to the late W. E. and Mary Alice Barham Perdue. He retired from Burlington Industries after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Perdue was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he helped in the organizing of the church and also served as a deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death of his wife, Tera Brande Perdue and sister, Beatrice Williams.He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Fisher and husband, John and Tera Ann Perdue, grandchildren, Beth and April Fisher; brother, Milton E. Perdue and wife Anna; and sister Mary Lou Williams, all of Reidsville.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2009, from 6 to 8 PM and other times at the residence of his sister, Mary Lou Williams, 387 Vaughn Road.
