CLICK HERE TO VIEW MEMORIAL VIDEOReidsville: Charles Broadus Phillips, 67, of 1329 Linville Drive, passed away on Thursday, October 10th, 2013 at Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM. Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, due to repairs at Baptist Temple Church. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. . Mr. Phillips was born in Rockingham County and was the son of the late, Rev. Winford W. and Mary Huskey Phillips. He was a retired Police Captain for the City of Reidsville, and was a member, former Deacon and Trustee of Baptist Temple Church. He was a 1990 graduate of the FBI Academy. Charles was a devoted father, grandfather, husband and son. He was an avid golfer and a member of the “ROMEOs”. He was also a volunteer for the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Distribution. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Phillips. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Bernice Page Phillips; sons, Chuck Phillips of Gibsonville, NC and Chris Phillips and wife, Heidi of Reidsville; grandchildren, Trey, Clint and Boston Phillips; two aunts, Pansy Rudd and Mary Huskey of Reidsville. The family will receive friends on at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 7:00PM until 9:00 PM and other times at the residence.
