Charles Wyse Trent

Reidsville, NC – Charles W. “JR” Trent, of 2609 Reid School Road, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Fox and Rev. John Groff officiating. Interment will follow in the Trent Family Cemetery. Mr. Trent was born in Rockingham County, NC to the late Charles W. Trent, Sr. and Bertha Nance Trent. He was a veteran in the US Navy serving during WWII. He was the co-owner and operator of Trent Brothers Vending. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Trent was an avid golfer and he loved to watch sports. He was a faithful member of the Reidsville Elks Lodge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, E. H. “Buck” Trent, Sr. and George W. Trent, Sr. and his sister, Mary Trent Chapmon. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Pierce Trent of the home; his daughter, Wendy P. Cook and husband, Calvin of Reidsville; grandchildren, Christina and Sarah Cook of Reidsville; numerous nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law, Bobby Pierce and Allen Carter both of Reidsville.
