Charles Anthony Wingate

Pelham, NC – Charles Anthony Wingate, 42, 320 Sigmon Road, died Sunday, October 5, 2008. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Bill and Tonya Wingate’s home (982 Chapman Road, Pelham) from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Charles was born in Rockingham County and worked as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Wingate, Sr. and his sister, Loura Wingate. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Hammock Wingate of the home, daughters, Chelsea and Jessica Wingate, and Tigra Collins; son Dakota Wingate all of the home and step son, Christopher Meeks of Madison; step granddaughter, Christina Meeks; mother, Gracie Norris Perkins of Marion, SC; brothers, Bill Wingate and wife, Tonya and Dale Wingate, Jr. both of Pelham; and sister, Gracie Boyd of Greensboro.
