Christine Strickland Jackson

Reidsville: Christine Strickland Jackson, 88, of 1463 North Scales Street, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at E Carlton Powell Hospice Home in Lillington.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 28 , 2009 at Calvary’s Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Talton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park in Danville, Virginia.Mrs. Jackson was born in Johnson County to the late Murry D. and Lula Mae Barefoot Strickland. She was a retiree of Dan River Mills and a member of Calvary’s Hill Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jackson; son, Bobby Jackson; daughters, Linda Tuck and Janice Meeks.Survivors include her son, Danny Jackson and wife, Donna of Sanford; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildrenMemorials contributions may be made to Calvary’s Hill Baptist Church, 1121 North Scales Street, Reidsville, North Carolina.Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
