Christine Martin Montoya

Greensboro: Christine Lois Martin Montoya, 53, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 8, 2016, at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Sartin officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Christine was born September 3, 1963 to Joe and Jenny Martin in Rockingham County. She was a very creative and giving person. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was known as “Nanny.” Her favorite color was purple and loved butterflies and especially her dog, “Frank.” She was always complaining about her husband Juan. She will be greatly missed, as her family can still hear her say, “I love you to the moon and back.” Along with her parents, Christine is survived by her husband, Juan; sons: Juan Montoya Jr and Jose Montoya and girlfriend, Veronica Meador, both of Greensboro; daughters: Crystal Eastwood of Reidsville, Jennifer Mil and husband, Belarmino of Whitsett, Ashley Willard and boyfriend, Mario of Snow Camp; six grandchildren; brothers: Joe, Donald, and Stephen Martin; sister, Tammy Martin; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Sunday evening, February 7, 2016 and other times at 1705 Barnes Street, Reidsville.
