Christopher Patrick Lynn, 54, of Reidsville, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Chris was born in Rockingham County to James “Pete” Lynn and the late Norma Jean Lynn. He worked at Greg’s Tire Barn for about 18 years, until they closed and currently works as a forklift operator with Envision Plastics. Chris was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan and was always playing on a softball team, bringing home many awards. He had many loves, especially his Volkswagen Bug and S10 pickup truck, mowing the grass, dogs, music, any western show, watching Maury and Jerry Springer and cooking on the grill. If you ever saw Chris, he was always wearing a hat and carrying a flashlight in his pocket. But his most noticeable trait was that he loved his family above everything else!
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Lynn; grandmother, Althea Johnson and Dorothy “Shinky” Lynn.
He is survived by his wife, Chastity Poteat Lynn; children, Jonathan McLaughlin, Crystal Lynn, Brandon Poteat and Makayla Walker; grandchildren, Little Jonathan McLaughlin, Shinky McLaughlin, Christian McLaughlin, Te’a Hooper and Nastassjia Hooper; father, James “Pete” Lynn (Joan), brothers, James “Tink” Lynn and Matthew Lynn (Kim); sister, Monique Lynn. Chris had numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, and other loving family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
