Cladie "Jr." Charlie Overby, Jr.

Cladie “Jr.” Charlie Overby, Jr., 79 of Reidsville, peacefully went home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Hospice of Rockingham County.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Apple officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 250 Teal Drive. Burial will follow in Hillsdale Primitive Baptist Church with military graveside rites.

Jr. was born in Guilford County to the late Cladie Charlie Overby, Sr. and Ogalee Nicholson Overby. He was a farmer and also owned and operated Junior’s Auto Repair for many years. He served in the US Army and was a member at Lankford Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tony Randall Overby and grandson, Christopher Randall Overby.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Overby; son, Rodney Dale Overby and wife, Sherry; daughter, Dana Overby Pegram; grandchildren, Dustin Dale Overby, Torrie Breanne Pegram and Kaylie LaKay Pegram; great grandchildren, Dustin Dale Overby, Jr., Kara, Levi and Elizabeth Overby; brother, James L. Overby of Madison, FL; sisters, Peggy Rykard and Jean Busick of Madison, FL; and extended family.
