Clara Belle Chappell

Clara Belle Chappell, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Chappell Family Cemetery with Rev. Lee Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. 

Clara was the daughter of the late Charlie R. Jones and Myrtle Belle Jones of Ruffin, NC. She was a longtime member of Ruffin United Methodist Church and a graduate of Ruffin High School, Class of 1961. She loved her family with unwavering devotion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Chappell.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Chappell, Sr.; son, Steve Chappell, Jr., and wife, Joy; granddaughters, Tate and Charley Chappell; and numerous cousins and close friends whom she loved dearly
