Clarence McKinnley Holcomb

Reidsville– Clarence McKinnley Holcomb, 88, of 1126 N. Scales Street ,died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Brian Center of Eden. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Dr. Harold Venable officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.Mr. Holcomb, a native of Fries, Va., was the son of the late Paul Coy and Lilly Sexton Holcomb. He was retired from Cone Mills and attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his brother, Ira Lee Holcomb.He is survived by his sister, Ruth Holcomb Allen of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.Memorial contributions may be made to The Brian Center of Eden, 226 N.
