Clarice Allen Powell

Reidsville, NC: Clarice Allen Powell, 95, of Franklin Health Care Center, and formerly of Reidsville, NC died on Monday, May 10, 2010.Clarice was born in Dry Fork, VA to the late Willie Allen and Annie Elliott Allen. She was of Pentecostal faith and retired from Pals Design, Inc. where her co-workers affectionately called her “grandma”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest L. Powell, Sr.; grandson, Stephen L. Powell; brother, Ira Allen.She is survived by her son, Forrest L. Powell, Jr. and wife, Shirlee of Bassett, VA; grandchildren, Deborah P. Baar and husband, Frank E. Baar, Jr. of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Lee Allen Powell, Army, stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA; great grandchildren, Ryan Akers of Starkville, MS, Blake L. Powell of Roanoke, VA; great great grandson, William Christopher Akers of Starkville, MS; brother, Rev. Douglas Allen of Cary, NC; sister, Christine Sibley of Baltimore, MD.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery with Rev.
