Cleda Griffin Woollen

Reidsville – Cleda Griffin Woollen, 96, of 2879 Iron Works Road, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 20, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Sharon Baptist Church with Pastor W. Lee Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Cleda was born in Rockingham County to the late Watt and Dura Williams Griffin. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and she and her husband ran Woollen’s store for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmers Glenn Woollen; daughters, Sylvia Woollen O’Bryant and Bonnie Woollen McCollum; sister, Carlene Donovant; brothers, Rodney and Kendall Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Woollen Dodson of Reidsville; grandchildren, Christopher Bennett McCollum and Cara McCollum Morton and husband, Jarrod; five great grandchildren.
