Clifton Shelton

Reidsville: Clifton Shelton, 75, passed away early Tuesday morning March 22, 2016 at Pine Forest Assisted Living facility. Clifton was born in Rockingham County on January 31, 1941 to the late James Terry Shelton and Mary Mabe Bowman Shelton. He worked several jobs including various construction for the construction of roads and maintenance. For several years now, he resided in the Pine Forest Assisted Living facility. During that time, there were various ailments that plagued his existence. Clifton is survived by his sister, Virginia Hanks of Lexington, NC and many other nieces and grand nieces. Mr. Shelton wanted to help others by donating his body to science in the efforts to aid in medical research and learning. Although, Clifton was never married, he made a significant impact upon his family and friends throughout his life.
