Clinton Travis Young

Clinton "Travis" Young, 54, of Eden, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Pastor Terra Flint officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Travis was born in Henry County to the late C.W. Young and Annie Ruth Tatum. He deeply loved his family and friends and stayed closely connected to those he cared about. Always full of joy, he was a truly happy person who loved life and lived it to the fullest, no matter the circumstances. He had a special appreciation for the outdoors and was known for being a very hard worker. For 18 years, he was a dedicated member of the Walmart team in Reidsville, serving in management from the day the store opened. He took great pride in his work, helping to shape a positive environment for both customers and employees. He also loved to travel, enjoyed good food, and had a way of putting his whole self into everything he did. His spirit, dedication, and love for life will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Travis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Blanche Young; his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Williams and Aaron Oakley; and his aunt, Barbara Ayers. He is survived by his sister, Tammie Shelton (James); brother, Todd Young; sister, Penny Smith (Timmy); brother, Roger Haizlip (Becky); and brother, Tim Haizlip. He is also survived by his niece, Tiffany Tuttle (Steven); nephew, Matthew Reilly (Angel); nephew, Tommy Shelton; nephew, Reid Reilly; niece, Elizabeth Haizlip; and nephew, Jacob Thomas. Travis leaves behind two great-nephews, Bentley and Wyatt.
