Madison – Clyde Jarrell Sutton, 64, of 1440 NC Hwy 704 passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tyler Scott, Anthony Durham, Steve Dunlap, Joey Myrick, Rodney Richmond, Jim Cantrell, Pete Carter and Terry Cundiff. Honorary pallbearers will be James Collins and Jimmy Dye. Jarrell was born in Rockingham County to Vergie Conner Sutton and the late Charles Clyde Sutton and was a retiree of Automatic Sprinkler and Pipefitters, local 669. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Cox Sutton; mother, Vergie Conner Sutton; daughter Cathy Lynn Sutton and fiance, Ricky Martin; son, Mark Allen Sutton and wife, Carolyn Cundiff Sutton; grandchildren, Katelyn Sutton and Rebecca Sutton; sister, Linda Sutton Evans and husband, Randy; brothers-in-law Wallace Cox, Preston Cox and wife, Mary Ann, Buddy Cox and wife, Betty; sisters-in-law, Doris Myrick and husband, Leon, Shirley Rickman and husband, Dewey, Louise Williams; niece, Alyson Evans Beha and husband, Jim; nephew, Tripp Evans; many other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Saturday, March 7th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham County Hospice Home, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or Covington Memorial Church Building Fund, 3218 Vance Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.
