Curry Wayne "C.W." Southard

Reidsville: Curry Wayne “C.W.” Southard, 37, of Hwy 87, Reidsville went home to be with his Heavenly Father, Saturday, July 25th, 2015. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Greenview Cemetery, with Rev. Ted Aschenbrand officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior at Wilkerson Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. C. W. was born October 2, 1977 in Rockingham County. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved Christian music, fishing, puzzles and his canine “Jake.” He was a giving, caring, loving person and never met a stranger. Some would say he was a “moma’s boy.” C. W. will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was the grandson of the late Wilma E. Nelson of Reidsville. He is survived by his mother, Doris Nelson and step-father, Albert Hodnett of Keeling, VA; his beloved son, Michael Conrad Smith; a brother and his “best friend”, Christopher Allen Southard; step-brothers: Andy and Rodney Hodnett; niece, Brenslie Southard; aunts: Nellie Fain of Eden, Stella Setliff of Reidsville; uncle, Allen Nelson of Reidsville; and several cousins. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Stella Setliff, 174 VFW Road, Reidsville, NC.
