Curtis Lee Ferris

Reidsville-Curtis Lee Ferris, Jr., 49, of 226 Ferris Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, November 3, 2011 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Mr. Shannon Newsome officiating. Curtis was born in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Curtis Lee Ferris, Sr. and Maxie Moore Ferris. He was the co-owner and operator of Ferris and Ferris Tire Company with his father. He was a member of Reidsville Christian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing, watching the wildlife and playing with his three grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Richardson Ferris and his brother, Victor Wayne Ferris. Survivors include his daughter, Amy Ferris Jones and husband, Dubbie of Reidsville, NC, his son, Kevin Lee Ferris of New Orleans, LA and his daughter, Katie Lea Ferris of Burlington, NC; his grandchildren, Alyssa Arthur, Jackson Jones and Tanner Thornton; his sister, Donna Ferris Daniels and husband, David of Reidsville, NC and nieces, Melissa Motley and husband, Keith and Melanie Moreschi and husband, Monte; and great nieces, Darby, Sylvie and Addison.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and at other times the family will be at Amy and Dubbie's home (1154 Crutchfield Road).Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
