Dale Gibbs

Stoneville– Robert Dale Gibbs, 54, of 130 Kela Drive, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Milton Kennon, Jr. and Pastor Mike Shaffer officiating. The Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Dale was born in Rockingham County. He was formerly employed with South Eastern Paper Group and also was the owner and operator of D & K Gifts in the Eden Flea Market. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Gibbs, father, Robert Gibbs and brother, James Gibbs. Dale is survived by his wife, Venise Witty Gibbs of the home; his children Nicole & Kristofer Gibbs of Reidsville, step – daughter, Amber Bray and grandson, Kaiden Bray of the home; sister, Ann Summey and husband, Shuford of Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Brenda Witty’s home (2402 Pine Lane, Reidsville). The family would like to express their gratitude to Rick Gibson of Hospice of Rockingham County for his special and professional care of Dale during his last month.
