Reidsville, NC – Dale Ellen Moore McDaniel, 51, of 196 Cedar Run Drive, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Harrelson and Rev. Bobby Craddock officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Dale was born in Rockingham County and was a teacher with Faith Baptist Academy for 16 years and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Throughout her fight with cancer, she never lost her dignity and ability to smile, inspire and up lift others. Great was her faithfulness, her example and her kindness toward her family and fellow man. Enter now, my darling into your much deserved eternal rest in the everlasting, Almighty and ever loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Moore.
Left to grieve and cherish her memory are her husband, Dwayne McDaniel of the home, who very much admired, respected and treasured her companionship, indeed, he did safely and completely trust in her. She is also survived by her daughters, Melissa McDaniel Hodnett and husband, Jamie of Durham and Amber Dale McDaniel of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Brooke and Greyson Hodnett; her mother, Mary Wilson Moore; her sisters, Ann Earles, Earlene Paynter and husband, Marvin, Brenda Smothers, and husband Wright, Shirley French and husband Tim, and Stella Stanley; brothers, Wayne Moore and wife, Sharon, Michael Moore and wife, Janet, Joe Bill Moore and wife, Sandra and Alvin Moore and wife, Darlene all of Reidsville; many special nieces and nephews; mother and father-in-law, Sadie and Harold Zimmerman of Reidsville; father and mother-in-law, Aaron and Pattie McDaniel of Reidsville; sisters-in-law, Wendy McDaniel of Reidsville and Phyllis Smith of Ramseur, NC; and brother-in-law, Dwayne Zimmerman of Burlington.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM and other times at the residence.
As Pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Eden, Dwayne would like to especially thank the church family, their many brothers and sisters in Christ, the staff of Wesley Long Community Hospital and the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for their love, prayers and support during this difficult time.
