Daniel Archie Shelton

Daniel Archie Shelton, I, 79, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Due to Covid 19 the family is not doing a formal funeral service at this time. Daniel was born in Rockingham County to the late Beverly S. Shelton and Hailey Tucker Shelton. He was a member of Reidsville Christian Church and retired from Unifi as well as Scott’s Tractor and Equipment. He was a founding member of the Rockingham County Gun Club and served as the President for approximately 20 years. He enjoyed building Tin Men, restoring antique tractors and spending time visiting his friends at Haynes Barber Shop and Carolina Café. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, B.S. Shelton, Jr and Bobby A. Shelton, Sr.; sisters, Marjorie Rusk, Rachel Melton, Bessie Copher, and Susan Coggin. He is survived by his children, Daniel “Danny” Shelton, II, Cindy Shelton and Wendy Moss and husband, Sam; grandson, Curtis King and wife, Emily; great grandchildren, Malyssa and Katelyn King and Bryan Two-Trees.
