Darryl Wayne Chatham

Reidsville, NC - Darryl Wayne Chatham, 65, of Reidville, died on Wednesday, July 31 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Darryl was born in Rockingham County to the late Dan Chatham and Mary Capps Chatham. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the US Army. He worked with Poindexter painting for many years and loved to play the drums. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James David Chatham. Survivors include his sisters, Carol Burgess and husband, Charles, Mona Southard, Marsha Petty and husband, Kenneth, all of Reidsville; half brother, Danny Chatham and wife, Diane of Stokesdale; 8 nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 1st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Other times the family will be at the home of Mona Southard, 1502 Sherwood Dr, Apt 17, Reidsville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
