Daryl Eugene Rice

Reidsville-Daryl Eugene Rice, 59, of 7214 Cherry Grove Road, died on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his residence. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8:30 PM and other times at 4315 Kerr’s Chapel Road, Elon, NC. Mr. Rice was born in Rockingham County to the late James Leonard Rice and Addie Childress Rice. He was retired from Lorillard Tobacco with over 31 years of service and an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Rice and grandson, Jacob Rice. He is survived by his wife, Connie Hamlett Rice, of the home, sons, Nicholas Rice and wife, Jessi and Houston Rice; 2 granddaughters, Kati and Madi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House of Alamance/Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
