David Chambers

Reidsville: David Chambers, 62, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County following a courageous year long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 30, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. David was born on September 24, 1954, in Rockingham County to the late Billy and Agnes Chambers. He was a graduate of Reidsville High School and Rockingham Community College. He was a draftsman at Beamon Industries and a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. David was a faithful member of Reidsville Christian Church. A devoted Reidsville Ram football fan and an avid UNC Tar Heel fan. David is survived by his son, Mark Chambers and wife Stacey; his sister, Mary Chambers Stone and husband Randy; nephew, Matthew Stone; aunt, Corinne Reece; uncle, Dallas Barber and wife Mary Jean, and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M., on Sunday, January 29, 2017 and at other times at Mary and Randy’s home, 1842 Flat Rock Rd.
