David Lee Dockery

Reidsville: David Lee Dockery, 77, of 2203 Westover Drive passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 18, 2008 at Reidlawn Cemetery with military honors and Rev. Michelle Chappell officiating. Mr. Dockery was born in Rockingham County to the late Kathleen Dockery Craddock. David served his country proudly as an Apprentice Seaman in the U.S. Navy. He was a member or First United Methodist Church and was a retiree of Haley T.V. of Danville, VA. He enjoyed working in the yard and going for breakfast at McDonalds whenever he was able to go. David is survived by his cousins, Dee Dockery and Linda Gillie and other numerous cousins; special caregivers, Pam Phoenix and Susan Pruitt. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Sunday, February 17 from 7:00-8:00pm and other times at the home.
