David Wayne Evans

David Wayne Evans passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 25, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

A private service will be held at a later date.  David was born in Rockingham County to Jamie Bennett and the late Rodney Lee Evans, Sr. David is a graduate of Rockingham County High School and Aviation institute of maintenance of Virginia Beach, VA. David was an amazing father, son, husband, and friend. If you were ever down and needed a pick-me-up David was always there with a dad joke, terrible dance move or his bright smile. David was very passionate about his career as an airplane mechanic. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his family outdoors. He was employed by American Airlines of Charlotte.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rodney Evans Sr, paternal grandfather, Ronald Evans.

David is survived by his wife, Lindsay Evans, his three children Alexis “Lexi” Evans, Colten Evans, Case Evans; parents, Jamie and Mike Bennett; stepparents, Jim and Jana Bailey; grandparent, Shelby Evans; siblings, Rodney Evans, Jonathan Evans, and Amanda East along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his A1 since 364 Ronald “Punkin” Critzer.
