David Ivory Miller

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Alcorn, Rev. Marvin Bowman and Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Miller was a native of Rockingham and the son of the late Dave and Florene Witty Miller. He loved his work and was a retired tobacco farmer and carpenter. He was a good friend and neighbor and always considerate of others. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Bible Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Gray Miller; his brother, Walter Miller and his sister, Gladys Miller Mitchell. He is survived by his wife loving wife of 54 years, Inez Holt Miller of the home; his son, David Lee Miller and wife, Debbie of Reidsville; his granddaughters, Kristin Miller and fiance', Jeff Gilbert of Fielddale, VA and Sharon Miller Jones and husband, Jeff of Reidsville; his sisters, Liza Harris and Helen Holt of Greensboro, Martha Bowman and husband, Marvin and JoAnne Southard and husband, Joe of Reidsville; his brother, Billy Miller and wife, Marian of High Point and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times the family will be at the residence. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Hawkins and his staff and the fine staff of Hospice of Rockingham County.
